Positions


Developer / Software Engineer / Computer Scientist

contract to full time

You’ll work on user-facing products and backend infrastructure. You’ll prototype new features, and deliver production code. You’ll instrument for analytics, and architect for scale. You provide our clients with what they want, and delight them with things that they didn’t imagine.

You write beautiful, polished code. You meet deadlines and deliver value. You take pride in your craft: you relish learning new technologies and honing your skills. You convey ideas and code with clarity and ease. You use test-driven development when appropriate, write excellent documentation, and (of course) use source control. You enjoy variety and working on new projects. And most importantly, you are fun to be with, both at work and at play.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Expert in one or more of the following platforms, and eager to learn new technologies:
    • iOS
    • Mac
    • Android
    • Web: Python/Django, .NET/Silverlight, PHP and PHP web frameworks, HTML5/CSS, Ruby/Rails, Clojure, jQuery, Scala, node.js
    • Windows: .NET, Windows Forms, WPF, Silverlight
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or software engineering

Designer

part time, leading to full time in the future

We’re looking for a versatile and talented designer to make our software beautiful, functional and engaging. We make novel ideas real: we need a visionary designer to help with each stage of our process:

  • Understand business and user goals, and provide creative, constructive feedback to help refine the goals
  • Outline information architecture, navigation and process flows
  • Sketch wireframes with layouts, UI elements and interaction/navigation
  • Design flow, transitions and smooth user experiences that are intuitive, rewarding and instructive.
  • Design the polished visuals and create all graphical assets, including logos and icons, brand imagery, custom UI elements, and illustrations.
  • Layer, cut and prepare all screens and elements into into separate graphical assets

You’ll work predominantly on mobile and web applications, with the occasional promotional print media project.
